Company beach day on Thursday and corporate golf day on Friday.
Beach day has a bunch of team building activities - each team has one person responsible for coming up with the creative team kit. We were the "Lean Mean Green Fighting Machines (LMGFM)" dressed like hippies.
We all decorated our shirts and tried to find hippie attire. I managed to draw some rainbow coloured graphic of Jerry Garcia on mine (when I find a photo I will load it up). I wasn't 100% sure who Jerry Garcia was, but one of my colleagues recognised the picture as him, so I guess my drawing wasn't too bad!
Our golf four ball was made up of four very amatuer golfers, Liz & Azelle who have never really played, Kim (probably the most experienced) who last played a year ago and myself who has only owned golf clubs for a few months now and played a sum total of 9 holes. The tournament was at North Sound Golf Club
We tee'd off in the morning session and got to have an afternoon sea swim and nap before heading back to the clubhouse for a drink with all the other players.
If there was a best dressed award I think we may have won, but nevertheless, we managed to scoop some prizes for coming in last place and I secured myself the "closest to the hole" on #13. Not bad hey...
And now the weekend starts!
Lining up our putts like professionals.
Kim trying to get "The perfect shot"
Yes, that is the sea in the background!
I somehow managed to birdie this hole... but that is by no means a reflection of the days performance! It was definitely a team effort, we all had some great and some awful shots. But it certainly was good fun and we will be using our free round prizes to get some more practice in.
A few shots of the cruise ships leaving for the day when I got back home in the afternoon.
